We Four in Egypt

Now back in the US!

Our weekend at the Sinai

We had a fantastic Eid weekend. The Gulf of Aqaba, which runs up the east coast of the Sinai Peninsula, between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, is gorgeous, and the hotel was lovely in design and setting.

The two swimming pools were a huge treat for the boys, especially Giggle, who will swim even while his teeth are chattering.

We even did a little hiking.

The beach was rocky but stunning and offered incredible views of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Israel, all just across the Gulf.

Mr. Four went snorkeling along the reef just a few meters off the beach. He saw two clownfish (we didn’t tell the boys Nemo was within reach). And the boys had a lovely time swimming with Mr. Four, playing in the sand, and contemplating the view.

And there’s more to come.

  1. I love your stories of adventure and all of your pictures! You’re doing a great job of chronicling your life for all of us avid readers! I’ve finally started blogging again, but I have a ways to go before it’s nearly as interesting as yours! 🙂
